Charge to the Presidential Search Committee

The Board of Trustees appreciates the presidential search committee’s willingness to undertake the important work that will lead to the appointment of the next President and CEO of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

The following outlines the Trustees' expectations with respect to the search process and the authority granted to the committee:

  1. The committee will develop a document that sets forth the desired presidential qualifications that will guide the search and selection process and be shared with nomination sources and candidates.
  2. The committee shall determine the initial scope of the search.
  3. The committee will adopt a timetable for the search.
  4. The search process shall recognize that our University is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in its work force.
  5. The committee will make periodic reports to the Board of Trustees and members of the university community regarding the progress of the search.
  6. The committee will observe strict confidentiality in the conduct of the search.
  7. The search committee will recommend candidate(s) for the presidency to the Board of Trustees which holds final responsibility to select and appoint the President and CEO.
