Student Programs

The Office of Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion provides several programs to ensure that medical students from all backgrounds get the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive at CMS.

  • UiM (Underrepresented in Medicine) Program
Provides additional support to medical students from groups historically underrepresented in medicine through a series of workshops, educational presentations, and other events.
  • DOCS (Doctors of Color) Program
Pairs medical students from underrepresented minority groups with physician mentors in the Chicago area.
  • Individualized Strategic Enhancement Program (ISEP)
Provides geographically and economically disadvantaged CMS students with tools to better establish and manage a life balance during their student years and beyond.
  • Scholarship Support
Creating Pathways and Access for Student Success Foundation (CPASS) in connection with the Chicago Medical School is committed to creating a well-trained, diverse health professions workforce working with underserved and disadvantaged populations to reduce health disparities.
