June 2017 ACPE grants the COP continuation of accreditation status.
March 20-21, 2017 ACPE focused site visit.
May 2016 Illinois Board of Higher Education approves application to establish a PharmD/PhD program.
July 2015 ACPE grants the COP full accreditation.
June 2015 Marc S. Abel, PhD, named Dean of the College of Pharmacy.
June 2015 Inaugural Class of 2015 graduates from the College of Pharmacy.
March 3-5, 2015 ACPE site visit for consideration of full accreditation status.
September 2014 White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2018. Keynote speaker: Nimesh Jhaveri, the Divisional Vice President at Walgreens.
August 2014 Class of 2018 arrives on campus.
June 2014 Inaugural class begins Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations.
October 21, 2013 First annual COP Faculty and Student Awards Ceremony.
September 16, 2013 The Haim G. and Jane Graumann Nagirner Weinstein Symposium Series is established.
September 13, 2013 White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2017. Keynote speaker: Dr. Kay Uttech, the Director of Global Medical Services at Baxter Healthcare, Inc.
August 2013 Class of 2017 arrives on campus.
June 2013 Pharmacy students begin annual participation the University’s global health outreach initiative by providing health services in Uganda.
March 2013 The College Advisory Board endorses the 2013-2016 Strategic Plan.
November 1, 2012 The Laboratory for Molecular Design and Drug Discovery opens.
September 28, 2012 White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2016. Keynote speaker: Stan Kent, 2011-12 Past President of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
August 2012 Class of 2016 arrives on campus.
June 26, 2012 Rosalind Franklin University Doctor of Pharmacy Program Granted Candidate Status from ACPE.
April 17-19, 2012 ACPE site visit for consideration of Candidate status.
September 9, 2011 White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2015. Keynote speaker: Chris Dimos, President of Pharmacy Operations at Supervalu.
August 2011 Class of 2015 arrives on campus.
May 20, 2011 The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools extends the University's accreditation to include the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
January 24, 2011 ACPE grants COP Precandidate status.
January 20, 2011 Beam Signing Ceremony for Interprofessional Education Center and College of Pharmacy Building (structural steel complete).
October 20-22, 2010 ACPE site visit for consideration of Precandidate status.
August 1, 2010 COP starts accepting applications from PharmCAS.
July 22, 2010 Ground Breaking Ceremony for Interprofessional Education Center (IPEC), home to the COP.
June 28, 2010 COP granted comprehensive on-site visit from ACPE to be scheduled in Fall 2010.
June 25, 2010 COP meet with ACPE Board to discuss application for Precandidate status.
June 21, 2010 Illinois Board of Higher Education approves application to establish COP and award PharmD degree.
April 1, 2010 Final application for Precandidate status submitted to ACPE.
February 11, 2010 ACPE Consultation Visit.
January 15, 2010 Draft application for Precandidate status submitted to ACPE.
October, 2009 Renovate office space for the new College in the Health Sciences building.
September 10, 2009 Consultation visit by ACPE to discuss the application for Precandidate status.
August 19, 2009 First meeting of the College Advisory Board. Meetings held quarterly thereafter.
August, 2009 Recruit the Faculty Leadership Team from members of faculty in all colleges and schools in the University.
July - December, 2009 Recruit members of the Advisory Board, seeking representatives from diverse areas of pharmacy practice and colleges with pre-pharmacy curricula.
July 15, 2009 Submit full application for PharmD degree to IBHE.
July, 2009 Dean Gloria Meredith hired.
May, 2009 Meeting with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to discuss the process of applying for accreditation.
March, 2009 Notice of Intent filed to establish a PharmD degree with the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE).
March, 2009 Board of Trustees vote to support the development of a College of Pharmacy.
August, 2008 Feasibility Assessment carried out by an external consulting company.
January – December, 2007 University Strategic Planning.
