Assistant Professor, Medical Director

Herena Sim Record M.D. joined the Physician Assistant Department as the Medical Director in September 2017. As medical director, Dr. Record supports the faculty and staff to assure current practice standards as they relate to the role of the physician assistant in healthcare. She actively engages in a number of aspects of the program, to include admissions, curriculum and assessment, classroom teaching, lab facilitation, team-based training, and student advisement.

Dr. Record graduated from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Rhode Island Hospital-Brown University School of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and had been in private practice in Rhode Island and New Jersey for the subsequent 18 years. She currently sees community patients at the Rosalind Franklin University Health Systems.

Dr. Record is married and has 2 children attending Midwest colleges.
