Mary Kay Bissing, DO

Dr. Mary Kay Bissing, anesthesiologist, serves as the chair of the department of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and she completed a residency in anesthesia and a fellowship in cardiac/pediatric anesthesia at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where she was named chief resident.

At Lutheran General, Dr. Bissing has served in multiple capacities including a key member the Operating Room Executive Committee, Medical Staff Credentialing Committee, Medical Staff Executive Committee and Physician Leadership Forum.

In her private practice, she has served as president of Park Ridge Health Associates and Park Ridge Anesthesiology Associates.
