Thomas H. Hansen, MS, PA-C

Instructor, Clinical Coordinator

Thomas H. Hansen, MS, PA-C is a graduate of the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program class of 1985 and received his Masters of Science in Health Science Management from the University of Central Florida in 1988. Prior to college Tom served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman providing medical support to the United States Marine Corp. After two tours in the south Pacific, he graduated from Neuropsychiatric technician school at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He stayed in the Naval Reserves during college and until he retired as a Commander in 2014. His service included medical support with the Fourth Medical Battalion in multiple overseas locations and several Naval Hospitals in the United States.  His civilian, military and Veterans Administration experience includes medicine, surgery, research and education.  His special interests include organizational management, process improvement, physician assistant clinical skills and career development. Tom is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and is an item writer for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.   

Tom has joined the PA Department faculty as a clinical coordinator.
