Our Mission

The Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC) aims to meaningfully serve the uninsured population within the Lake County community by providing multi-service healthcare, educational programs, and other supportive resources. The ICC promotes equity in clinical practice, education, research, and service through collaboration among interprofessional learners, educators, and community leaders.

Mission: To 1) provide accessible, quality healthcare for the uninsured persons in the Lake County community with dignity, respect, and cultural humility, and 2) encourage future healthcare professionals to work in underserved communities and excel in interprofessional communication and teamwork, with an intentional emphasis on the principles of diversity, inclusion, and equity.

The ICC provides an important service to the community and the students of Rosalind Franklin University. Not only do students get early clinical exposure, but they have the opportunity to work alongside students from different healthcare programs. Working together, students help patients who would otherwise be lost to the system and the ICC provides an invaluable lesson on the needs of our most underserved populations.
