Admissions Requirements

1.   Completion of the following prerequisite coursework prior to matriculation:

Applicants are required to have completed the necessary prerequisites for matriculation within 10 years of the date of their application. Each prerequisite course needs to meet the minimum credit hours listed above, receive a final grade of a "C" or better, and must be taken at an accredited institution of higher education prior to matriculation into the program.

2.   A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education prior to matriculation into the program.

3.   Competitive overall and science GPAs. Successful candidates typically have overall and science GPAs above 3.0.

4.   Two letters of recommendation from former professors, or employers, familiar with the applicant's professional or 
      educational capabilities.

5.   Official transcripts submitted from each college, university, and community college previously attended. If you have studied outside of the US, you will need to have your transcripts evaluated for US equivalency using a service such as www.wes.org or www.ece.org.

6.   Proficiency in basic computer skills.

7.   Evidence of exposure to anatomic pathology.

8.   Five photos with accompanying narratives (minimum of 250 words per narrative).

9.   All students are required to pass the Rosalind Franklin University criminal background check and meet the technical standards for the Pathologists’ Assistant program prior to matriculation. View the technical standards
