Winter Weather Alert

Due to severe winter weather, all on-campus classes and activities will be canceled on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.

Remote learning and work will be encouraged, where possible and communicated by departments and programs. Essential employees should report as scheduled unless otherwise instructed by supervisors. Student rotation sites may remain open. Please contact each site directly to confirm their current status and any reporting requirements. The library and other common areas will remain open and available for studying.

Health Clinics administration will communicate directly with their patients, providers and staff regarding their operations. They will also determine staffing required for clinic operations to ensure patient and employee safety.

The shuttle will not operate to or from the Lake Bluff Metra station.

If you must travel, ensure you are properly dressed for the dangerous wind chills and that as much exposed skin is covered as possible. The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as ten minutes.

Saturday, January 24, 2026, classes and programs will resume on campus as scheduled, and campus facilities will be open.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our top priority. We understand this will have an impact on curricular activities and appreciate your understanding.
