Our 10-month MS in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) program will prepare you to continue your graduate-level education in a variety of healthcare professions, including medicine, podiatric medicine, pharmacy, physician assistant, and more. For many of our graduates, this degree is the foundation upon which they pursue the next level of their health profession education. In 2021, 74% of BMS graduates were accepted to medical schools or other health professions programs.

Program Overview

BMS students learn medical-school level content in courses such as biochemistry, physiology and foundations of clinical medicine, taught by Chicago Medical School faculty who understand the challenges and demands of preparing for careers in medicine and other health professions. In addition to your MS in biomedical sciences, you’ll also earn a graduate certificate in either health administration or population health strategies, for enhanced expertise as a practicing clinician.

Provided you are actively enrolled in BMS coursework, you'll be granted an interview in another RFU clinical program of your choice, including those in Chicago Medical School, College of Health Professions, College of Pharmacy, or Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, provided you meet the admission requirements and complete the application process for your chosen RFU program.
