October 7, 2020 – RFU Recognition

October 2, 2020 – COP Student Places Second in Competition
Vanessa Rivera, COP Class of 2023, placed second in the IPhA Annual Meeting counseling competition, where she competed against students from all the colleges of pharmacy in Illinois.

September 28, 2020 – COP Student Awarded Scholarship
Justin Bladecki, Class of 2022, was recognized with the Alan Granat Memorial Scholarship.  This award was established as a memorial tribute to Alan Granat, who served as Executive Director of IPhA from 1979 until his death in 1989. The award is presented annually by the IPhA Foundation to a pharmacist and/or pharmacy student who has exhibited a commitment to pharmacy and community, as evidenced by membership and participation in pharmacy organizations and community involvement.   

September 28, 2020 – COP Alum Receives Award
Dr. Luis Solano, COP Class of 2019, was awarded the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award from the Illinois Pharmacists Association.

September 22, 2020 - COP Professor Receives Grant
Sarah S. Garber, PhD, Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and her collaborators have been awarded a grant of over $112,000 from the Gilead Foundation, for research on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV Prevention.

September 10, 2020 – COP ICHP Chapter Receives Award

September 10, 2020 – COP Professor Promoted
Ateequr Rahman, PhD, MBA, was promoted from Associate Professor to Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
