Improving Clinical Education

The ICC is helping lead the way in developing interprofessional clinical educational experiences. Often, clinical exposure for students is isolated to their own program. However, at the ICC, students are purposefully organized into interprofessional (IP) teams that work together to care for a patient. This way, students have the opportunity to learn not just from their patients and the healthcare providers, but from one another. It is not just the students that are interprofessional, either: students work with a team of interprofessional healthcare providers who are able to provide different perspectives in order to teach students how to best care for the patient.
