Combined PhD with MD, DPM, or PharmD

In conjunction with the Chicago Medical School, Dr. William M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy, we offer the PhD degree in combination with the MD, DPM, and PharmD degrees.

Entry Level

The MD/PhD program operates on two tracks. The first is entry-level admissions, which begins with a prospective student expressing interest in the program by indicating "Combined MD/PhD" application designation on the AMCAS application.

Internal Applications

Any student who is admitted and matriculates into the Chicago Medical School, the Dr. Wm. M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, or the College of Pharmacy may still be eligible to apply for admission into the MD/PhD, DPM/PhD or PharmD/PhD programs through our internal application process. RFUMS students must become involved in research during their first year of studies.
