Primary Responsibilities • Exhibits behaviors and communication skills that demonstrate SHIFT's commitment to superior customer service, which includes delivering superior service and empathetic care in every member interaction • Delivers high-quality physical therapy services to members, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication • Communicates effectively with physicians, SHIFT care team members (medical and extended), and related service vendors, including external care providers, hospitals, and patients, among others • Uses, protects, and discloses SHIFT patients' protected health information (PHI) in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards • Develops a plan of care with an appropriate duration and frequency based on anticipated goals, predicted level of improvement, and specific treatment interventions • Creates fitness, physical therapy and wellness-oriented programs tailored to members' specific needs.

Qualifications •Strong organizational and time management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Certifications in dry needling, blood flow restriction, and/or other manual therapy, preferred • Comfortable working within all Microsoft Suite products, Adobe Acrobat, and WebPT • Works well in a team, bringing and encouraging positive energy • Diligent, resilient, positive, articulate, and professional • A passion for integrated personal health and wellness • 1-3 years of experience in a dynamic, demanding environment • Doctorate from an accredited physical therapy program • Current physical therapy license in State of Illinois • Current CPR certification.

Practice Setting: Private practice pathology group (11 pathologists)

Position Summary: A well-established private practice pathology group in Southern Indiana is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to fill an immediate opening for a PA position. The practice supports a high-volume surgical pathology service, processing 40,000+ specimens annually, with a low autopsy volume (typically fewer than 10 per year). The hospital is currently building a new histology laboratory with modern grossing facilities, offering an updated and well-equipped workspace. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Perform gross examination and dissection of a wide variety of surgical pathology specimens (small biopsies through complex resections) • Ensure accurate specimen identification, orientation, inking, section selection, and documentation in accordance with departmental protocols • Create high-quality gross descriptions and ensure appropriate submission of tissue for histology, ancillary studies, and special testing as indicated • Support overall specimen workflow, including triage, prioritization, and communication with pathologists and laboratory staff • Participate in autopsy services as needed (low annual volume), consistent with training and departmental practices • Maintain compliance with applicable quality and safety standards, including proper handling of specimens and biohazard protocols • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, particularly as new histology and grossing facilities come online. 

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program and/or • ASCP certification as a Pathologists' Assistant (PA(ASCP)) or exam eligible • Demonstrated ability (or training-level competency) to gross a broad range of surgical pathology specimens • Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to quality and patient safety • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-based environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a high-volume surgical pathology environment • Comfort with complex specimen types and efficient case throughput while maintaining accuracy • Interest in contributing to workflow optimization in a newly modernized lab setting.
