The Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science 2020 Commencement Ceremony and Awards Ceremony have been canceled.

Dear Graduates:

In follow up to Dr. Rheault’s announcement on the cancellation of the in person Commencement and Awards Ceremony, the Division of Student Affairs and Inclusion is providing additional details related to Commencement and Awards related events.

We are planning a virtual celebration and will announce further details and how to participate to all graduates in the coming weeks. Please watch for additional information regarding your participation and for how your friends and family will be able to celebrate your achievements with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. We encourage graduates to monitor this page for additional information as it becomes available.

We know many graduates already purchased regalia to participate in the Commencement Ceremony as the deadline to order was March 31, 2020. The Division of Student Affairs will be reimbursing any graduate who purchased regalia from Herff Jones between January 2020 and March 31, 2020. You will not be required to return your regalia. Any graduate who has not purchased regalia yet, and purchases after April 1, 2020, will not be eligible for reimbursement of their regalia. Graduates should expect communication related to their reimbursement no later than May 1, 2020. For any graduates that are utilizing regalia from another graduate, this will not be reimbursed as it was not facilitated as part of the Commencement process.

Diplomas and other materials provided for each graduate will be mailed to students as a students requirements are complete and they are confirmed and approved to graduate, in most cases at the beginning of June 2020. (exceptional circumstances will be managed between the programs and the registrar.) All graduates should ensure that they update their address in Self Service no later than May 15, 2020 to reflect their mailing address as of June 2020 for their diploma to be mailed.

The graduation fee on your Spring 2020 tuition bill still remains in effect as this covers the cost of graduation, not the Commencement Ceremony.

We look forward to providing additional information to you in the coming weeks on participation and celebrating your accomplishments as RFU graduates.
