Campus Closure Due to Power Outage

Due to the ongoing power outage affecting the Rosalind Franklin University campus, in-person academic and administrative operations on the main campus are suspended on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The university continues to monitor the situation and remains in communication with ComEd, Facilities and campus partners. At this time, power restoration timing has not been confirmed.

Remote work and learning arrangements should be coordinated through individual departments and programs. Essential employees should report to campus, including facilities and campus safety employees, unless instructed by their supervisors. Employees who are unsure about their status should contact their supervisor for guidance. Students on clinical rotations should check with their clinical site, as university closures only affect RFU’s main campus.

Students living in campus housing should continue to follow communications from Student Housing regarding available resources and support.

Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
