Sherry T. Aleksich, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Sherry Taylor Aleksich brings a lifelong passion for compassionate care and a deep commitment to mental health to her role as faculty in the doctoral program in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. She began her career in pediatrics and became a neonatal nurse practitioner in 1992. After many years of caring for the youngest patients, she felt called to expand her impact and began studying psychiatry and mental health nearly 15 years ago. In 2015, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Mental Health.

Dr. Aleksich cares for individuals across the lifespan but holds a special place in her heart for children and adolescents. Her clinical practice includes offices dedicated entirely to pediatric mental health. Known for her warmth, insight, and dedication, she brings both depth of experience and a genuine love for people into every classroom and clinical setting.
