Dr. Suzanne Schulte is a Pediatric Hospitalist and Associate Clinician with Lurie Children’s Hospital in their Hospital-Based Medicine - Outreach Division.  She currently spends most of her clinical time at Central DuPage Hospital, where she cares for pediatric patients with various complexities in the inpatient setting.  She is also on staff at Silver Cross Hospital, where she attends complicated newborn deliveries in addition to caring for both pediatric patients and newborns.  She was previously a pediatric hospitalist at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, where she was responsible for the Hinsdale Family Medicine Residency Program’s pediatric rotation and was awarded “Attending of the Year.”

Dr. Schulte graduated medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.  She completed her pediatric residency through Baylor University at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX.  During her residency she was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award.  After completing residency she returned the suburbs of St. Louis, where she was in primary care pediatrics for 8 years (6 of them in a certified Rural Health Clinic in Troy, MO). Her husband was subsequently transferred to Joliet, prompting a relocation to Illinois and a transition to pediatric hospital based medicine.  In addition to her General Pediatrics board certification, she is board certified in Pediatric Hospital Based Medicine.  

Dr. Schulte lives in Plainfield, IL with her husband and 2 cats, who are collectively called Chaos.  During her spare time she loves to hike, travel, play piano, dance and work on various craft projects.
