Academic Advising
Who am I?
Hi there, my name is Dr. Jascha Teibel. I am a 2020 graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Because I am a recent graduate, I know many of the pearls and pitfalls of being a student here and what it takes to succeed in this rigorous program. My function as a faculty member is both as an academic advisor and as an assistant professor.
As the academic advisor for Scholl College, I’m here to help you with:
- Study strategies and time management
- We can discuss what type of learner you are, and how we can best get you to be able to internalize what you learn.
- We can work on your time management skills to find what studying rhythm works best for you.
- Individualized study plans / strength based academic assessment
- Each student is different, and because of that, different students may need to take different approaches when it comes to studying. My goal is to help you find the best approach for you.
- Once we discover your strengths, we can find how to best help you work on your weaknesses.
- Support for Boards preparation
- I can help you figure out the best study plan for boards preparation.
- Test taking strategies
- If you suffer from testing anxiety, or having a hard time narrowing down the multiple choice questions to one or two choices, we can try to help you find the best path to success.
