Chief Financial Officer
Roberta Lane joined Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2008. As CFO, she is responsible for ensuring the financial well-being of the University, including short and long term financial planning, accounting, financial reporting and treasury and debt management. Ms. Lane joined the University at a critical time as the University faced the economic challenges associated with 2008. She provided steady leadership in restructuring the endowment policies and procedures,responding to the credit crisis and in developing a long-term financial strategy that has stabilized the University and positioned it for the future.
Prior to joining the University, Roberta held the senior financial and administrative leadership position at Feeding America, formerly America’s Second Harvest, and at Children’s Home and Aid Society of Illinois. She has over 20 years of senior leadership experience in the not for profit environment. Her roles reflect her commitment to mission-driven organizations. She remains active as a volunteer Board member with several human service organizations within her community.
Ms. Lane began her professional career at Deloitte & Touche after earning an MBA and a BS degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She is a certified public accountant in the state of Illinois.
