THE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL THERAPY IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO THE
MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAM IN PHYSICAL THERAPY
The Master of Science Program in Physical Therapy is a two-year curriculum designed for the currently licensed physical therapist who wishes to pursue an advanced degree on a part-time basis. As the professional practice of physical therapy becomes both more autonomous and accountable, the responsibility of the physical therapist in determining the effectiveness of intervention continues to expand. The MS program provides the physical therapist with an intellectual atmosphere within which they can rigorously examine selected areas of professional practice.
The MS program is designed to foster a high level of skill in the clinical inquiry process, develop a depth of knowledge and skill in an area of clinical expertise, enhance the ability to engage in self directed learning, and promote a commitment to the profession of Physical Therapy. Students may select an area of emphasis in orthopedics, neurological sciences or education/administration.
