Fundamentals of Clinical Nutrition (0 qh): This self-directed course provides an in-depth overview of human clinical nutrition including the components and measurement techniques of a nutritional assessment as well as the etiology and medical nutrition therapy of various disease conditions such as obesity; cardiovascular disease; hypertension, osteoporosis; diabetes mellitus (type 1 and type 2); gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, and pulmonary diseases; anemia; sepsis; trauma; cancer; and other metabolic diseases (offered spring quarter).
Note: This course is offered once annually provided minimal student enrollement numbers are met.
