Are there any prerequisite courses for admission?
We do not require any specific coursework. We require all students have a bachelor's degree and at least one year of RN ICU experience. 

What is the timeline for the admissions process?

  • To simplify and facilitate the admissions process, RFUMS utilizes the Nursing Centralized Application Service.
  • Applications for the 2014-2015 admissions cycle will be available in early March.
  • Application must be submitted by July 14.  Interviews are held on campus between August and October.

How can I check on my application status?
Once your application has been transmitted from NursingCAS to the Nurse Anesthesia Department at Rosalind Franklin University, you can check on your application with the Admissions Office at: (847) 578-3204 or via email at grad.admissions@rosalindfranklin.edu.

When are interviews held?
Applications are reviewed by department faculty and invitations to interview are sent by email in mid-July.  Interviews are held in held in mid-August.  

When does the program start?
Starting with the next incoming class (in 2015), students will matriculate in June for the Summer Quarter

How long is the program?
The program is 9 academic quarters or approximately 27 months of study.

What is the class size?
Each class is 25 students.

Can I transfer into the program?
The College of Health Professions does not accept transfer students.  On a case by case basis, the admissions committee will review graduate coursework to award credit.
