Doris earned her Master of Science in adult and continuing education from Northern Illinois University and her Bachelor of Science in community health education from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She is a consultant in the areas of adult education, curriculum design, and distance teaching and learning. In addition to developing graduate- and professional- level programs and courses for institutions of higher education and corporations, Doris trains and supports faculty who teach online to help them improve their facilitation skills.
Doris also works half-time as an academic technology consultant at the University of Colorado Boulder. In this capacity, she helps faculty learn how to use and incorporate technology into their teaching, research, and service. Her work at CU has helped her stay current with new and emerging instructional technologies.
Prior experience includes seven years as an instructor, academic coordinator, and curriculum designer at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and several years developing and supporting distance education programs for a medical malpractice insurance provider.
