Dr. Stephen Klinkhammer has been a CRNA since 1995. He received his Master of Nurse Anesthesia from the Mayo School of Health Sciences in Rochester, MN in 1995, and his Doctor of Nursing-Anesthesia from Rush University in Chicago, IL in 2001. He has also earned a Master of Business Administration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management.
Dr. Klinkhammer served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1976 as a Hospital Corpsman, and was commissioned with the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps from 1986-2002. He is the recipient of both a Distinguished Service Award from Vietnam Veterans of America and the Presidential Award for Outstanding Service to the Community by a Vietnam Veteran.
With a specialty in obstetrical anesthesia, Dr. Klinkhammer has served as a part-time Lecturer for the Rosalind Franklin University Nurse Anesthesia Department since 2009, and is a Clinical Coordinator for students from the RFUMS Nurse Anesthesia Program whose rotations include Sinai Medical Center (Aurora Healthcare) in Milwaukee, WI. This site serves as a specialty obstetrics rotation for clinical experience.
