Ziemowit Mazur, Ed.M, MS, PA-C, Associate Program Director, was appointed in November, 2010. He received a master’s degree in Higher Education Organization and Leadership from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 and a master’s of science degree in physician assistant studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) in 2010. Ziemowit was a lecturer, instructor, and academic coordinator prior to his current appointment as Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director. As a physician assistant, Ziemowit has worked in primary care and internal medicine, while volunteering his time as a provider in the local community, including Healthy Families Clinic’s pediatric service. Ziemowit continues to practice as a physician assistant on Community Care Connections Mobile Clinic, focusing on preventive healthcare for the underserved and underinsured.
Ziemowit was elected as a public education committee chair for Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants (IAPA) in 2013, where he also serves as RFUMS PA program liaison. He was honored with College of Health Professions Outstanding Teacher Award in 2014.
