Dr. Lisa Schoene is a Sports Medicine specialist and Certified Athletic Trainer who is triple board certified in Surgery, Orthopedics, and Primary Podiatric medicine. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. She has been practicing Podiatric Sports medicine for over 21 years, and has treated and worked with numerous Olympic, Professional, Semi-professional, and Elite athletes and dancer’s. Dr. Schoene has covered numerous sporting events, races, and dance performances.
She lectures nationally and internationally on many sports medicine topics, and has trained Medical and Podiatry students, residents and fellows from various sports (MD) medical programs, for the past many years. She was one of 17 Podiatrist’s to work at the Olympic games in 1996 and has also worked at the Olympic Training Center, in Colorado Springs. Since 1992, She has been a Podiatric consultant for the DePaul Blue Demons University athletic department, and for over 12 years has consulted for the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance, Inaside Chicago Dance, Ballet Chicago and other companies as well. Dr. Schoene has been a consultant for numerous media formats including television, news programs on ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX, printed media in various national newspapers and magazines as well as radio programs.
